Apologies

BSOD Picture by Randy von Liski on Openverse

Short Version: I am very sorry but it hasn’t been possible to produce a blog this month for technical reasons. I plan to be back up and running next month.

Longer Version: Just after last month’s Blog was finished, my Desktop PC refused to power on. The physical switch/button on the box would not work. After calls to the manufacturers they advised that it must be returned to them for the repair to be completed, and it would take a week to ten days. Nearly four weeks later, they are still apologising that the part is taking longer to obtain than they thought. In addition, they told me that everything stored on the computer would be wiped so would need reinstalling when I got it back 😒😱!

I started writing this months Blog on my laptop, which isn’t as good, only to then have a major fault with that last week, as well – fortunately not the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) depicted above! As a result, the laptop had to be repaired by returning it to factory settings – but at least I kept it here, and did it myself. So for the last week I have been reinstalling software to get it back to the way it was. I’m still having problems with email, but everything else is now fine, other than waiting for the main PC to be returned (which will then of course, also need to be reinstalled πŸ˜’so hours more work ahead of me). Hence, there was no chance of physically getting the Blog written, so I’ll keep what I have started writing until next time – unless I’m getting an urge to tackle something else by then!

Don’t forget to turn the clocks back an hour tonight, otherwise you’ll be early for church tomorrow (if you go)! Can’t be doing that! 🀣

Apologies again, Peter Johnson.
